AUCTION SPOTLIGHT
This is a special edition of the SOCIETY Newsletter. Our regularly scheduled newsletter will be released tomorrow at 9AM Eastern featuring a story of how Donald Ross broke the rules of golf design.
AUCTION SPOTLIGHT: GOLDEN AGE AUCTIONS

Tom Morris, a man who’s influence on the game is timeless. Golden Age Golf Auctions has just launched an extraordinary auction featuring rare and historic items from the family of Old Tom Morris. This is truly a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of golf history connected to one of the game’s most iconic figures.
SPEAKING OF AUCTIONS!!!
The Society of Golf Historians is about to throw their next Society Golf Twitter Auction with proceeds going to underfunded youth sports and the building of a new Society of Golf Historians website which will act as a repository for golf history.
So far we have a collection of Top 100 and Major Championship Venues but I am looking for more. If you are a member of a historical or Top 100 club and enjoy golf history, please consider donating a foursome or a threesome to our auction.

The current auction items include: Belleair CC, Cedar Rapids CC, Dubuque CC, Mountain Lake, Ravisloe, Scioto, Inverness, Olympia Fields, Black Sheep (men only), Lido, Crystal Downs, Oak Hill, Hollywood, Philly Cricket, Palmetto, Muirfield Village, Sleepy Hollow and the quirkiest cool of the bunch so far…Lake Zurich in the suburbs of Chicago with its 35 members.

I am hoping to add more so please consider donating. In past years we have paid for equipment, lessons and even bus rides for local sports teams, and as I mentioned we will use some of the funds to build a robust website for the Society of Golf Historians.
A special thanks to all my friends who have made these donations. I appreciate all of you!
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter. In the upcoming year we will be formalizing the Society of Golf Historians and have big plans for the future. We hope that you will want to take part in our journey.
Yours in Golf History,
Connor T.
